Is MySpace Cool Again?

I know many of you gave up on Myspace years ago, and simply assumed the site would die along with many other Newscorps-acquired web properties. And perhaps it was easy to think Myspace would suffer the same fate as Geocities or Friendster. However, I have to hand to the new owners: The “New Myspace” looks great. A very nice and clean, uniform design; no ability to edit EVERYTHING; and like Pandora, a great place to discover new artists. I think this may become the “Artist’s substitute” to Facebook, similarly to how Vimeo is to YouTube.

Switching From a Mac to a PC….

After 6 long years of doing most of my computing on a Mac, I’ve decided to migrate back to the PC. Not because I think PC’s are inherently better, but because I needed something to satisfy my newly found love for PC-Gaming, as well as give me the tools necessary to edit and polish up video.

I still plan to use the iPhone and read on my iPad, but given that I work for a PC developer, I felt it was important to take the plunge head first and embrace the PC once more. The  new rig runs like a champ, and completes high-level, CPU-intensive tasks in a fraction of the time that it took my old MacBook Pro. It also doesn’t hurt that I am able to play Loadout at 100-FPS & Battlefield 3 at 60 FPS on high-settings. Always a plus. I still have my MacBook Air for portable computing, and I will definitely miss some key features in MacOS, however, Windows 7 Pro is a fantastic operating system that I look forward to mastering. Mass Effect 3 & Star Control 2

I finally decided to conjure up a video after I beat Mass Effect 3. Had to do this one real quick, but I after beating the game, I couldn’t help but notice ME3 was very similar to a game I played as a kid, back in 1992. A game I have fond memories of, for numerous reasons. I’m sure I’m not the only one whose made this comparison.
