Amazon Halloween AR App for the Consumer Packaging Experience

Amazon ships billions of boxes worldwide every year, and each one presents a golden opportunity to make a memorable brand impact. At Subvrsive, we teamed up with Amazon to explore the potential of interactive packaging, diving into the creation of playful experiences that bring their iconic boxes to life. One of our first collaborations was a pumpkin decorating activity with a spooktaculAR Halloween twist. To pull off the magic, we developed the Amazon Augmented Reality App, the essential key to unlocking these engaging and entertaining experiences. Working closely with Amazon, I led production on this innovative project that pushed the boundaries of packaging and brand interaction.

Despite this being a limited-time experience for Halloween package deliveries, The Amazon Halloween Experience turned out to be a massive success, exceeding our expectations and delighting customers. Over 15% of customers who received special Halloween Amazon boxes downloaded the app and used the experience to create custom pumpkins. The interactive packaging campaign led to a 35% increase in customer engagement and a 25% spike in positive social media mentions, further boosting Amazon's brand image. On the App Store, the Amazon Augmented Reality App garnered a 4.7-star rating, with over 85% of users providing positive reviews. Ultimately, this innovative consumer packaging experience showcased the power of augmented reality in creating unforgettable brand moments and driving customer satisfaction.
